Main Character Bio's

Please post your main Character Bio's here. Feel free to come back an edit the post later for more detailed information. In fact PLEASE edit the original post. One post per person would be ideal. I shall edit this post to link to the each of the others, like a table of contents, should this thread grow very large.

Efferus Bellator
« Reply #1 on: September 09, 2009, 07:02:59 PM »
Efferus Bellator -

Born on Bajor under the Cardassian occupation, and soon orphaned, Bellator joined the resistance as son as he could hold a phaser. First as a child, doing his best to clean and repair the cell's equipment, then later participating in active missions. After the occupation ended, Efferus Bellator entered the Bajoran Militia, eventually earning the rank of Major.

During the Dominion War, with Bajor signing the non-aggression treaty, Bellator left for Starfleet, and soon transferred over to the Starfleet Marine Corps. He quickly rose through the ranks via mostly battle field promotions, until Reaching the Rank of Major. From there now Major Efferus's career record becomes even more obscure, as nearly all his personnel file was classified. He was Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and recently has begun assembling various assets from within SFMC and Starfleet, and assigned to a unit known only at the 301st Marine Expeditionary Unit. It's mission, and composition remains unclear, but perhaps their unit 'name' is a hint – 'The Battle Born,' their motto, “Been there, done that, back for more!”

Ruari McDiarmid
« Reply #2 on: September 09, 2009, 07:42:17 PM »
Ruari Padraigh McDiarmid was a lad of 13 when the Enterprise came callin’ and shook up the existing social order. Being in the clutches of that fearsome beast, Puberty, young Ruari soon became an enthusiastic convert to the Church of Pulaski. Once his body caught up with his religious zeal he embarked on a Holy Crusade with such vigor and dedication as to leave even a Deltan shaking his head in disbelief.

Having temporarily exhausted the supply of available Crusaders, Bringloidi and Mariposan, and afflicted with a burning wanderlust and insatiable curiosity Ruari talked his way aboard a freighter that “had come callin’, don’cha know”. Working his way across the galaxy, McDiarmid quickly earned the title of Joat (Jack of All Trades) His natural inquisitiveness led him to explore all facets of ship’s operations, but his restlessness made it difficult to settle down in one area of specialization.  Ruari’s greatest passion (well, second greatest) was exploring, whether the nooks and crannies of an ore hauler or the back alleys and corridors of the most recent port of call. Life continued in this pleasant fashion until that fateful day on Deep Space 9 when a “religious discussion” with a Klingon Marine erupted into a brawl that caused significant damage to a Ferengi bar and great disruption on the Promenade. Multiple arrests ensued. By the time he and the Klingon were brought before the Magistrate the ship that Ruari had just signed aboard had left, stranding the young Bringloidi. The Klingon told the Magistrate that things had just gotten out of hand and she had no desire to pursue any legal action against him. (“Besides, he fought well”). Ruari, too, had no wish to press charges (“It was a glorious Donnybrook, indeed!”). The Magistrate then ordered them both to confine their “discussions” to less public places. He also informed McDiarmid that there was a transport leaving the next day and that he would be well advised to be on it.

The next day, having taken the suggestion to “get a room” a very bedraggled yet satisfied looking Ruari bid his new friend farewell and set off slowly and painfully to meet the future.

Séigíne, being evacuated from the El-Aurian system during infancy, spent her early years with her adoptive family of Ba'ku in Sector 441. Although she cherished the peaceful lifestyle she experienced there, her adventurous spirit and wild heart compelled her to search out for her own identity and purpose while still just a "teen" (in El-Aurian years, that is!)

Curiosity (and a rumour that her biological father, escaping the Borg attack and somehow ending up at Starfleet) led her to Earth and the academy.

In normal times, evil would be fought by good. But in times like these, well, it should be fought by another kind of evil.
